About
The Oklahoma City Jazz Orchestra (OKCJO) is the cornerstone of Oklahoma City Jazz Orchestra, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. The ensemble itself features the state’s top musicians including members of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, professors of music from several surrounding universities and professional musicians from throughout the great state of Oklahoma. They perform high quality concert jazz music, serve musicians and the community through performances, and cultivate the artistic and educational development of the musical community.

Mission
The mission of the OKC Jazz Orchestra is to preserve, perpetuate, and educate the community on the unique American art form known as jazz. Our live performances showcase the musical and cultural heritage of jazz and big band music. Through our outreach programs, we educate the community and future generations about the value of jazz music and the importance of its survival. We desire to foster the artistic development of composers, performers and conductors while collaborating with other arts agencies and educational institutions for the betterment of our community.
